We are guided by our core values:
- Integrity
- Superior Quality
- Building Relationships
- Teamwork
- Accountability
- Innovation
Our philosophy is very simple: "What is in our clients best interest will typically be in our best interest."
1988
Roper Hanks, LLC was founded in Atlanta, Georgia; originally under the name of Taylor Colins & Associates, as a design build contractor for the banking industry. Our first project was a 30,000 SF building for the Birmingham Teachers Credit Union in Birmingham, AL, which was later awarded the "Birmingham Beautification Award" for design. During the deregulation of the banking industry, we designed and built throughout the Southeast.
1990s
Taylor Colins began to diversify and built our first retail center, Avalon Plaza, in Muscle Shoals, AL. Throughout the decade, we continued to diversify and expand into other industries, building or consulting for office buildings, distribution centers, medical/surgical centers and office buildings, assisted living facilities and multifamily facilities.
2000s
Taylor Colins was reorganized and became Roper Hanks, LLC. During this time, we began to do interior build-outs, with our primary focus being in the beauty industry. In November 2005, we completed the 40,000 sq.ft. Aveda Institute facility in The Woodlands, TX; which is the largest Cosmetology School in the United States. In addition, we began to build and renovate high end single family homes in the Buckhead area of Atlanta, GA.
